Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for both Booklink subscriptions and payments collected through the platform. Booklink is operated by Tora Technologies (Pty) Ltd, Cape Town, South Africa.
1. Booklink Pro Subscriptions
Cancellation
You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings. When you cancel:
- Your Pro features remain active until the end of the current billing period
- Your account automatically reverts to the Free plan at the end of the period
- No further charges are made
Refunds
Booklink Pro subscriptions are billed monthly. We generally do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, as you retain access to Pro features for the remainder of the period after cancellation.
However, we will consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis in the following circumstances:
- You were charged in error (e.g. duplicate charge)
- You experienced a significant service outage that materially affected your business
- You cancel within 48 hours of your first Pro subscription and have not actively used Pro features
To request a refund, contact us at support@booklink.co.za with your account email and a description of the issue. We aim to respond within 2 business days.
2. Booking Payments (Collected via Yoco, Paystack, or PayFast)
When customers pay for bookings through Booklink, the payment is processed by the service provider's connected payment gateway (Yoco, Paystack, or PayFast). Booklink facilitates the transaction but does not hold or control the funds.
Responsibility
Refunds for booking payments are the responsibility of the service provider (the business that received the booking). Booklink does not process, approve, or deny refunds for booking payments.
For customers seeking a booking refund
- Contact the service provider directly using the contact details on your booking confirmation
- The service provider's own cancellation and refund policies apply
- If you cannot reach the service provider, contact us at support@booklink.co.za and we will assist in facilitating communication
For service providers processing refunds
- Refunds must be processed through your payment provider's dashboard (Yoco, Paystack, or PayFast)
- Booklink does not charge any fees on refunds
- Your payment provider's refund policies and processing times apply
3. WhatsApp Message Credits
WhatsApp message credits purchased through Booklink (including auto top-ups) are non-refundable once delivered. Unused credits remain available on your account for as long as it is active.
4. Free Plan
The Free plan has no cost and therefore no refund applies. Note that Free accounts are subject to our inactivity policy: accounts with no login activity for 60 days will receive a warning, followed by scheduled deletion after a 7-day grace period, and permanent removal after a further 30-day retention period.
5. Consumer Protection
This policy is subject to the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) where applicable. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the CPA or any other applicable South African consumer protection legislation.
